Shankar Halder vs Kalidas Baria

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Maharashtra promoted show at Nagpur Wali, Nagpur,  taking place on 22/12/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the India-Maharashtra Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TEN Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shankar Halder (10 - 8(1) - 1) who hails from Mumbai, India and Kalidas Baria(10 - 7 - 5) from Mumbai, India.  Halder weighed in at 167 pounds and 15 ounces, while Baria weighed in at 167 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Darshan Devshah, and the three ringside judges are Aseem Parray, Gopal Shokeen and Farhan Diab.  

Round 1: 

Halder hits home with a left uppercut.  
Halder voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Baria steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Baria connects with a cross.

Halder attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Baria time to recover.

Baria feints a jab, tricking Halder into launching a right hook counter.  Baria springs the trap and counters with  a left uppercut.  
Baria pivots to the side of his opponent.  Baria throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
