Carlo De Giovanni vs Vanni Abate

Boxing Daily Report from the Agyeman Promotions promoted show at Bologna De Franco, Bologna,  taking place on 25/12/2030:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Italy Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Italia, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Carlo De Giovanni (21(17) - 5(5) - 1) who hails from Verona, Italy and Vanni Abate(16 - 2 - 1) from Reggio Emilia, Italy.  Both De Giovanni and Abate weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colombo Dinucci, and the three ringside judges are Tito Valdifiori, Vittore Meloni and Luca Perin.  

Round 1: 

De Giovanni hits home with a stinging cross.

De Giovanni lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  De Giovanni attempts to land a right hook, but Abate blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  Abate recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

De Giovanni digs in a sharp right hook to Abate's ribcage.  
De Giovanni lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
De Giovanni lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
De Giovanni lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
De Giovanni drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.

De Giovanni senses Abate is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  De Giovanni lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS ABATE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  It looks like Abate has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Abate throws a left hook, but De Giovanni clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, De Giovanni pushes his forearm into Abate's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

De Giovanni drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
De Giovanni steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Abate could be stopped here, if De Giovanni can find the right shot!  De Giovanni is on target with a BRUTAL right uppercut.  ABATE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
De Giovanni steps inside.  De Giovanni lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND ABATE IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
De Giovanni lands a nasty right hook.  ABATE IS DOWN!  HE FAILS TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is De Giovanni!
