Corey Secombe vs Ian McCalla

Boxing Daily Report from the Jon Crosby promoted show at Gloucester Seward, Gloucester,  taking place on 25/12/2030:

Clearly Jon Crosby have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Corey Secombe (11(7) - 0) who hails from Leeds, UK and Ian McCalla(3 - 3(1)) from London, UK.  Both Secombe and McCalla weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leighton Dodd, and the three ringside judges are Paul Hector, Joe Blevins and Joel Lowry.  

Round 1: 

Secombe lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Secombe lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Secombe hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Secombe steps inside and lands a solid left uppercut.  
McCalla steps away from his opponent.  Secombe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McCalla throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook to McCalla's liver.  
Secombe lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Secombe digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Secombe advances into close range and digs in a left hook to McCalla's body.  
Secombe forces McCalla to back into a neutral corner.  Secombe connects with a sharp cross.  
Secombe steps inside and digs in a left hook to McCalla's body.  Secombe clinches his opponent.  Secombe tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McCalla behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Secombe about fouling.  
Secombe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McCalla throws a left hook, but Secombe holds on to his opponent.  Secombe is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Secombe.  
McCalla finds the target with a jab.  
Secombe is looking to close the distance and hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Secombe walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Secombe lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Secombe closes the distance.  Secombe sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Secombe lands a BRUTAL left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCCALLA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Secombe holds on to his opponent.  Secombe is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Secombe pushes his forearm into McCalla's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Secombe to stop fouling.  
McCalla now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McCalla's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

McCalla waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Secombe tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Secombe advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Secombe holds on to his opponent.  Secombe leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Secombe's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  McCalla almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Secombe connects with a right hook.  
Secombe advances into close range and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Secombe is looking to close the distance and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Secombe stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  McCalla attempts to land a jab, but Secombe sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Secombe is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  Secombe holds on to his opponent.  Secombe leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Secombe drives a left hook into McCalla's body.

Secombe steps inside and connects with a FEARSOME right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCCALLA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  McCalla recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Secombe manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Secombe is on target with a right hook.  
Secombe tries to land a cross, but McCalla slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Secombe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McCalla tries to land a jab, but Secombe sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
McCalla is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Secombe blocks the shot and counters with a SAVAGE right hook.  MCCALLA IS HURT!  McCalla quickly recovers. 
Secombe is on target with a right uppercut to McCalla's body.  Secombe clinches his opponent.  Secombe tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McCalla's kidney. 
McCalla sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Secombe drives a right hook into his opponents body.

Secombe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.

Secombe is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND MCCALLA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.

Secombe advances into close range.  Secombe sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Secombe lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS MCCALLA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like McCalla has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Secombe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a MASSIVE left hook.  MCCALLA IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  
McCalla drives a left uppercut into Secombe's body.  
Secombe gets on the inside and drives a stinging right hook into McCalla's body.  
Secombe lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Secombe manouvers McCalla onto the ropes.  Secombe senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop McCalla and just needs the right shot.  Secombe lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS MCCALLA TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Secombe!
