Macario Atabay vs Zelipe Armendariz

Boxing Daily Report from the Lexington Promotions 3.0 promoted show at Centennial Hall, Manila,  taking place on 29/12/2030:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Philippines-NCR Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Macario Atabay (21(9) - 2) who hails from Pasig, Philippines and Zelipe Armendariz(12 - 5 - 5) from Quezon City, Philippines.  Both Atabay and Armendariz weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Bejar, and the three ringside judges are Alen Macairan, Billy Roa and Connor Guihama.  

Round 1: 

Atabay steps away from his opponent and lands a ramrod jab.  
Atabay sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Armendariz closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Atabay lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Atabay ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Armendariz pushes his forearm into Atabay's face.  The ref breaks Atabay's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Armendariz closes the distance and forces Atabay to retreat onto the ropes.  Atabay digs in a left hook to Armendariz's ribs.
