Yago Gonzalez vs Carlos Mandes

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Fantastic Casino de Albrook Mall, Panama City,  taking place on 09/01/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yago Gonzalez (12(10) - 0) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Carlos Mandes(5 - 11(2) - 4) from Panama City, Panama.  Gonzalez weighed in at 146 pounds and 10 ounces, while Mandes weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Cobo, and the three ringside judges are Nicandro Gomez, Sierra Reynoso and Zelipe Prudencio.  

Round 1: 

Gonzalez is on target with an overhand left.  
Gonzalez switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  Gonzalez attempts to land a jab, but Mandes parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gonzalez steps to the outside.  Mandes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mandes attempts to land an overhand left, but Gonzalez sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gonzalez is on target with a jab.  
Gonzalez feints a jab, and then hits home with a firm left hook.  
Gonzalez feints a right hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gonzalez switches the action to the outside and lands a firm overhand right.  
Mandes gets on the inside.  Gonzalez pivots to the right of his opponent.  Gonzalez drives a right hook into Mandes's body.  Gonzalez holds on to his opponent.  Gonzalez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gonzalez lands a sharp jab.  
Gonzalez lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Mandes closes the distance and manouvers Gonzalez onto the ropes.  Mandes throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Gonzalez's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Gonzalez lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Mandes almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Gonzalez connects with a FEROCIOUS left hook.  MANDES IS HURT!  Gonzalez clinches his opponent.  Gonzalez leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  Mandes quickly recovers. 
Gonzalez feints a jab, and then hits home with a cross.  
Gonzalez is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gonzalez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gonzalez lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Gonzalez tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Gonzalez lands a stiff jab.  
Mandes closes the distance.  Gonzalez pivots from in front of his opponent.  Gonzalez attempts to land a left hook, but Mandes slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Mandes is looking to close the distance.  Gonzalez pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Gonzalez steps away from his opponent.  Mandes could be stopped here, if Gonzalez can find the right shot!  Gonzalez EXPLODES a spiteful left uppercut into his opponents face.  MANDES IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Mandes steps inside.  Gonzalez lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND MANDES IS DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Mandes cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Gonzalez!
