Ian Bethune vs Dave Manson

Boxing Daily Report from the Forficula Promotion promoted show at McKenzie Sports Club, Linden,  taking place on 13/01/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Guyana-North Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NCN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Bethune (10(2) - 3 - 1) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Dave Manson(1 - 5) from Georgetown, Guyana.  Both Bethune and Manson weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Morison, and the three ringside judges are George Niven, Richie Handyside and Cody Tassie.  

Round 1: 

Bethune digs in a left hook to Manson's body.  As Bethune tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Manson dabs at his face checking for damage.
