Rush Cruguet vs Page Machin

Boxing Daily Report from the Anang Promotions promoted show at Anicetus Leblanc Gym, Argenteuil,  taking place on 17/01/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the France-Ile-de-France Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rush Cruguet (19 - 14(1) - 3) who hails from Montreuil, France and Page Machin(13 - 8 - 4) from Paris, France.  Cruguet weighed in at 111 pounds and 2 ounces, while Machin weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Verrier de Honnecourt, and the three ringside judges are Oriel Niel, Telo Notte and Tenenan Bernanos.  

Round 1: 

Cruguet feints a jab, fooling Machin into launching a left hook counter.  Cruguet springs the trap and counters with  a right uppercut.  
Machin voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Cruguet accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Machin.  
Machin throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Machin switches the action to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Cruguet closes the distance.  Cruguet pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cruguet's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Machin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
