Viktor Mednis vs Kolya Igauns

Boxing Daily Report from the Pendragon Inc promoted show at Igor Allikas Gym, Riga,  taking place on 17/01/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Viktor Mednis (7 - 0) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Kolya Igauns(1 - 1) from Riga, Latvia.  Both Mednis and Igauns weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Borya Kede, and the three ringside judges are Koldan Mazbralis, Valeri Akitis and Afon Shaurinsh.  

Round 1: 

Mednis gets on the inside.  Mednis pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into Igauns's ribcage.  Mednis attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Igauns time to recover.
