Georgiy Shapovalov vs Alik Gutowsky

Boxing Daily Report from the Addow Promotions promoted show at Afon Volkov Gym, Omsk,  taking place on 28/01/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Russia-Omsk Oblast Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Georgiy Shapovalov (11 - 16 - 5) who hails from Omsk, Russia and Alik Gutowsky(18(12) - 0) from Omsk, Russia.  Both Shapovalov and Gutowsky weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Melor Falin, and the three ringside judges are Viktor Karpovstev, Nikolai Semyonov and Melor Koplyakov.  

Round 1: 

Gutowsky advances into close range and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Gutowsky lands a firm left hook.  
Gutowsky lands a right uppercut.  Gutowsky holds on to his opponent.  Gutowsky is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gutowsky.  
Gutowsky lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gutowsky lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Gutowsky lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Gutowsky lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Gutowsky finds the target with a jab.  
Gutowsky is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Gutowsky advances into close range and manouvers Shapovalov into the corner.  Gutowsky is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Gutowsky has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of.  
Gutowsky is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Gutowsky connects with a stinging left hook.  
Gutowsky lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Gutowsky lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Shapovalov almost instantly recovers. 
Gutowsky lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shapovalov's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Shapovalov's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Shapovalov's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Gutowsky advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Gutowsky is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Gutowsky steps inside and walks Shapovalov down, trapping him in a corner.  Gutowsky hits home with a right hook.  
Gutowsky is looking to close the distance and drives a stinging right hook into Shapovalov's ribcage.  
Gutowsky lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Shapovalov almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Shapovalov tries to land a left hook, but Gutowsky sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Gutowsky gets on the inside.  Gutowsky pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Gutowsky forces Shapovalov to retreat into the red corner.  Gutowsky lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gutowsky digs in a firm left uppercut to Shapovalov's liver.  
Gutowsky is on target with a solid right hook.  Gutowsky clinches his opponent.  Gutowsky hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gutowsky.  
Gutowsky drives a firm right hook into Shapovalov's body.  
Gutowsky lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Shapovalov almost instantly recovers. 
Gutowsky lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Gutowsky throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Shapovalov lands a left hook.

Gutowsky drives a stinging right hook into Shapovalov's body.  
Shapovalov tries to land a right hook, but Gutowsky blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Gutowsky connects with a FEARSOME left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE SHAPOVALOV WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Gutowsky senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Shapovalov and just needs the right shot.  Gutowsky DETONATES a HUGE left hook on his opponents face.  SHAPOVALOV HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  Shapovalov now seems to have got his legs back.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Shapovalov's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Gutowsky hits home with a left hook.  Gutowsky holds on to his opponent.  Gutowsky uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Shapovalov behind the head. The referee warns Gutowsky and breaks the clinch.  
Gutowsky pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Gutowsky sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Shapovalov attempts to land a jab, but Gutowsky slips the shot and counters with a BRUTAL right hook.  SHAPOVALOV IS HURT!  
Gutowsky gets on the inside.  Gutowsky thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Shapovalov away.  Gutowsky lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND SENDS SHAPOVALOV TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Gutowsky!
