Tevaughn Asamoah vs Claude Van der Merwe

Boxing Daily Report from the Don Sinclair promoted show at South Africa-Western Cape Gym, Cape Town,  taking place on 11/02/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Southern African Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Tevaughn Asamoah (17(1) - 5(1)) who hails from Umlazi, South Africa and Claude Van der Merwe(15(1) - 1 - 2) from Mitchells Plain, South Africa.  Asamoah weighed in at 242 pounds and 11 ounces, while Van der Merwe weighed in at 223 pounds and 9 ounces.
