Ricky Boas vs Mardian Roussel

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Quebec promoted show at Chapiteau CCSE Maisonneuve, Montreal,  taking place on 13/02/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Quebec Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ricky Boas (18(6) - 6 - 1) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Mardian Roussel(22 - 13(5) - 1) from Montreal, Canada.  Both Boas and Roussel weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Louis Marvingt, and the three ringside judges are Phil Pearce, Aaron Henry and Brendan Aitken.  

Round 1: 

Boas steps inside.  Boas sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Roussel throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Boas clinches his opponent.  Boas pushes his forearm into Roussel's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Boas.  
Boas lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Boas lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Roussel attempts to land a cross, but Boas sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Boas closes the distance.  Boas digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Roussel dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Boas gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Boas ties up his opponent.  Boas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Boas hits home with a right hook.  
Boas is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  Boas ties up his opponent.  Boas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Boas lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Boas steps inside.  Roussel throws a left hook, but Boas ties up his opponent.  Boas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Boas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Boas forces Roussel to retreat into a neutral corner.  Boas digs in a right uppercut to Roussel's ribcage.  Boas holds on to his opponent.  Boas tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Roussel behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Boas to stop fouling.  
Boas lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Boas digs in a right hook to Roussel's ribcage.  
Boas lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Boas is on target with a right hook to Roussel's ribcage.

Boas connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Boas lands a right hook.  
Boas sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Boas lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Roussel tries to keep the action at long range.  Boas connects with a cross.  
Boas closes the distance.  Boas pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Boas pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Boas lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Boas manages to force Roussel onto the ropes.  Boas sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Boas lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, KNOCKING ROUSSEL DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.
