Gianfranco Lolli vs Cristiano Di Francesco

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Sicily promoted show at Catania Spinelli, Catania,  taking place on 19/02/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Italy-Sicily Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Italia, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gianfranco Lolli (14(1) - 3(2)) who hails from Messina, Italy and Cristiano Di Francesco(3 - 3 - 1) from Palermo, Italy.  Both Lolli and Di Francesco weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fabrizio Valdifiori, and the three ringside judges are Marco Scopelliti, Mario Battaglia and Savio Trapattoni.  

Round 1: 

Lolli advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  
Lolli lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Lolli holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Lolli pushes his forearm into Di Francesco's face.  The referee warns Lolli and breaks the clinch.  
Lolli lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Lolli steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  Lolli ties up his opponent.  Lolli is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Lolli throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Lolli holds on to his opponent.  Lolli leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lolli manages to force Di Francesco onto the ropes.  Lolli lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lolli is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Lolli lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Lolli lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lolli lands a left hook.  
Lolli sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Lolli steps inside.  Lolli hits home with a sharp right hook.  Lolli holds on to his opponent.  Lolli leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Lolli's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Di Francesco dabs at his face checking for damage.  Di Francesco has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Lolli lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Lolli closes the distance and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Di Francesco sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lolli hits home with a solid left hook.  
Lolli manouvers Di Francesco into a neutral corner.  Lolli is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Lolli lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Lolli digs in a firm right hook to Di Francesco's ribcage.  
Lolli lands a left hook.  
Lolli hits home with a right hook.  
Lolli is looking to close the distance.  Lolli digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Lolli wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
