Gareth Iverson vs Michael Edris

Boxing Daily Report from the Nkoloma Promotions promoted show at Auckland Ghant, Auckland,  taking place on 27/01/2031:

Clearly Nkoloma Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gareth Iverson (9 - 6 - 7) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Michael Edris(3(2) - 0) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Both Iverson and Edris weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Woodburn, and the three ringside judges are James Oakley, Colin Lawder and Mark Kinzey.  

Round 1: 

Iverson lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Edris is looking to close the distance and drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
Edris lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Edris closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.

Iverson tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a jab.  
Edris is looking to close the distance and walks Iverson down, trapping him in the corner.  Edris drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.

Iverson feints a jab, but Edris is not fooled and responds with a solid right hook.

Edris lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Iverson's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Edris lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Edris gets on the inside and lands two left uppercut's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Iverson's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Iverson's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Iverson's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Edris closes the distance and lands a left hook.  
Iverson tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with an overhand left.  
Iverson steps away from his opponent.  Edris lands a solid jab.  
Edris is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
Edris sidesteps to the right of his opponent and slams a mean right uppercut into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE IVERSON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!
