John Aries vs Kiri Kamuwai

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Waikato promoted show at Chris Cowen Gym, Hamilton,  taking place on 24/02/2031:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Waikato have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Waikato Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Aries (14(2) - 2) who hails from Hamilton, New Zealand and Kiri Kamuwai(6 - 2(1) - 2) from Hamilton, New Zealand.  Both Aries and Kamuwai weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aika Rako, and the three ringside judges are Michael Pareraukawa, Danny Ewing and Eti Manihera.  

Round 1: 

Aries steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Aries holds on to his opponent.  Kamuwai tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Aries behind the head.
