Nicolas Diaby vs Jose Gomez

Boxing Daily Report from the Forficula Promotion promoted show at Forficula Gym, Linden,  taking place on 16/02/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Nicolas Diaby (0 - 2) who hails from Carrefour, Haiti and Jose Gomez(6 - 5 - 1) from Oruro, Bolivia.  Diaby weighed in at 159 pounds And 8 ounces, while Gomez weighed in at 159 pounds And 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Harvey Pirnie, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Goldring, Malcolm Algeo and Mark Firth.  

Round 1: 

Gomez is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Gomez steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Diaby advances into close range.  Gomez lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Gomez pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Diaby tries to land a cross, but Gomez slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Diaby's body.  
Diaby hits home with a left uppercut.

Gomez feints a cross, tricking Diaby into launching a right uppercut counter.  Gomez springs the trap and counters with  a right uppercut.  
Diaby advances into close range.  Gomez is on target with a right uppercut.  Gomez holds on to his opponent.  Diaby hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Diaby is on target with a right hook to Gomez's body.  
Diaby throws a left hook, but Gomez holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Gomez pushes his forearm into Diaby's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Gomez to stop fouling.  
Gomez lands a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Diaby's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Gomez's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win.
