David Lewis vs Matt Howell

Boxing Daily Report from the Goofy promoted show at Octagon Theatre, Bolton,  taking place on 06/02/2031:

Clearly Goofy have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Northern England Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Lewis (8 - 7) who hails from Bradford, UK and Matt Howell(6 - 8 - 2) from Sunderland, UK.  Both Lewis and Howell weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Stoddart, and the three ringside judges are Chris Llywelyn, Paul McComb and Iain McClure.  

Round 1: 

Howell is looking to close the distance.  Howell drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Lewis has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused nasty swelling  around the left eye.  
Howell lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Lewis throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Howell closes the distance.  Lewis sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Howell lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lewis's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Lewis tries to land a cross, but Howell slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lewis is on target with a jab.  
Lewis steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Lewis steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Howell closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Lewis tries to step out of his opponents range.  Lewis feints a jab, fooling Howell into launching a cross counter.  Lewis springs the trap and counters with  a cross.  
Howell advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Lewis's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Howell's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
