Phil Blier vs Dillon Cochrane

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at ACC, Toronto,  taking place on 01/05/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Canada Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sweet Phil Blier (29(21) - 1 - 1) who hails from Brampton, Canada and Dillon Cochrane(10(4) - 0) from Laval, Canada.  Both Blier and Cochrane weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kian Clanahan, and the three ringside judges are Dylan Morris, Bellamy Batiste and Gareth Aitken.  

Round 1: 

Cochrane steps inside and lands a left hook.  Cochrane tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.

Cochrane gets on the inside and drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.

Blier knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Blier lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND SENDS COCHRANE TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Cochrane now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Blier hits home with a right hook.  Cochrane holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Blier pushes his forearm into Cochrane's face.  The referee warns Blier and breaks the clinch.
