Brigham Pique vs Pierre Renoir

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ivory Coast-Vallee du Bandama promoted show at Vallee du Bandama Gym, Bouake,  taking place on 14/03/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ivory Coast-Vallee du Bandama Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brigham Pique (10(8) - 2(1)) who hails from Bouake, Ivory Coast and Pierre Renoir(16 - 7(1) - 3) from Bouake, Ivory Coast.  Both Pique and Renoir weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Boden Marques, and the three ringside judges are Albain Bernanos, Gower Millot and Raynard Delon.  

Round 1: 

Pique steps inside and is on target with a solid right uppercut to Renoir's body.  Pique clinches his opponent.  Pique is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pique about fouling.  
Pique is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Pique lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES RENOIR!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Renoir quickly recovers. 
Pique lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Pique is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into Renoir's ribs.  
Pique is on target with a sharp right hook to Renoir's ribcage.  Pique ties up his opponent.  Pique leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pique is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Pique lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pique drives a right hook into Renoir's body.  
Pique slams a spiteful right uppercut into Renoir's body.  RENOIR WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Renoir recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Pique digs in a left uppercut to Renoir's ribs.  Pique clinches his opponent.  Pique leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Pique's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pique lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Pique is on target with a stinging right uppercut to Renoir's body.  
Pique is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Pique sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a sharp left hook to Renoir's body.  
Pique is on target with a left hook to Renoir's body.  Pique clinches his opponent.  Pique is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Renoir has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Pique digs in a sharp left hook to Renoir's liver.  
Renoir throws a left uppercut, but Pique clinches his opponent.  Pique leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pique lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Pique senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Pique lands a left hook, left uppercut and a cross to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES RENOIR!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Pique!
