Ulises Varas vs Selestino Baldonado

Boxing Daily Report from the Njovu Promotions promoted show at Valencia Cal, Valencia,  taking place on 24/03/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ulises Varas (16(11) - 0) who hails from Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela and Selestino Baldonado(3 - 2 - 2) from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela.  Both Varas and Baldonado weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jose Manuel, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Tome, Vicente Quintanar and Felippe Ledo.  

Round 1: 

Baldonado closes the distance.  Varas pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Varas pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.

Baldonado throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Baldonado gets on the inside.  Varas lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Varas senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Varas lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND BALDONADO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Varas!
