Cole Blaauw vs Will Nyagumbo

Boxing Daily Report from the South African Boxers promoted show at Luveve Stadium, Bulawayo,  taking place on 24/05/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Bulawayo Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cole Blaauw (10(5) - 0 - 1) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Will Nyagumbo(9 - 11(2) - 4) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Both Blaauw and Nyagumbo weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joseph Tongogara, and the three ringside judges are Jack Katsande, Joseph Tongogara and Joey Mumbengegwi.  

Round 1: 

Blaauw digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  Blaauw clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Blaauw pushes his forearm into Nyagumbo's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Blaauw is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Blaauw ties up his opponent.  Blaauw pushes his forearm into Nyagumbo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Blaauw to stop fouling.  
Blaauw lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Blaauw clinches his opponent.  Blaauw throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Blaauw connects with a left uppercut.  Blaauw ties up his opponent.  Blaauw leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Blaauw closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Nyagumbo advances into close range.  Blaauw is on target with a left hook.  Blaauw attempts to land a right hook, but Nyagumbo blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Nyagumbo tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Nyagumbo lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Blaauw lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Blaauw is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Blaauw closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS NYAGUMBO DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Nyagumbo recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Blaauw walks Nyagumbo onto the ropes.  Blaauw hits home with a left uppercut.  
Blaauw is looking to close the distance and drives a sharp left hook into Nyagumbo's liver.  
Blaauw throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Blaauw clinches his opponent.  Blaauw leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Blaauw lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Blaauw closes the distance.  Nyagumbo throws a left hook, but Blaauw holds on to his opponent.  Blaauw is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Nyagumbo steps inside.  Blaauw drives a firm right uppercut into his opponents body.  Blaauw throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Nyagumbo's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Blaauw crashes a hurtful left hook to Nyagumbo's liver.  NYAGUMBO IS HURT!  Blaauw holds on to his opponent.  Blaauw leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Blaauw's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Blaauw drives a telling right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  Blaauw ties up his opponent.  Blaauw leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Blaauw senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Blaauw slams a big right uppercut into his opponents body.  NYAGUMBO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Nyagumbo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Blaauw is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Blaauw lands a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Blaauw dabs at his face checking for damage.

Blaauw is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Nyagumbo connects with a left hook.

Blaauw whips in a mean left uppercut to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE NYAGUMBO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Blaauw sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Blaauw whips in a mean right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  NYAGUMBO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Nyagumbo now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Blaauw lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

NYAGUMBO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Nyagumbo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
