Michi Kojima vs Takeo Okamura

Boxing Daily Report from the Muntari Promotions promoted show at Hamamatsu Sasaki, Hamamatsu,  taking place on 20/02/2031:

Clearly Muntari Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Shizuoka Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michi Kojima (10 - 16 - 2) who hails from Shizuoka, Japan and Takeo Okamura(7(2) - 0) from Hamamatsu, Japan.  Both Kojima and Okamura weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Takeo Fujino, and the three ringside judges are Aki Ogata, Fumio Hiraoka and Kei Katayama.  

Round 1: 

Okamura advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Okamura steps inside and connects with a firm left hook.  
Okamura steps inside and manages to force Kojima into the blue corner.  Okamura is on target with a stinging right hook to Kojima's body.  
Okamura pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Okamura is looking to close the distance and is on target with a firm left uppercut to Kojima's ribs.  
Okamura drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Okamura gets on the inside and forces Kojima to back into the ropes.  Okamura drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.

Kojima attempts to land a jab, but Okamura parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Okamura gets on the inside and forces Kojima to retreat onto the ropes.  Okamura lands a solid right uppercut.  
Okamura lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Okamura lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Okamura lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Okamura hits home with a ramrod jab.

Okamura walks Kojima down, trapping him in the corner.  Okamura lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Okamura lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Okamura sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Okamura manouvers Kojima into the corner.  Okamura lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Okamura sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Okamura advances into close range and drives a left hook into Kojima's body.  
Kojima is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Okamura lands a ramrod jab.  
Okamura steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS KOJIMA TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Okamura senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Okamura whips in a big right hook to Kojima's body.  KOJIMA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Kojima's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Okamura is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Kojima switches the action to the outside.  Okamura thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Kojima away.  Okamura lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS KOJIMA!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Okamura lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Kojima now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Okamura lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Okamura forces Kojima to retreat into a corner.  Okamura lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, DROPPING KOJIMA TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Okamura!
