Mijo Ivic vs Goro Ishida

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at International House Osaka, Osaka,  taking place on 31/03/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mijo Ivic (7(3) - 1) who hails from Zagreb, Croatia and Goro Ishida(7 - 7) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Ivic and Ishida weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kyo Kuramoto, and the three ringside judges are Hiroki Tamashiro, Hisoka Tsuchida and Hisao Sakai.  

Round 1: 

Ivic sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Ivic closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ivic digs in a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Ivic holds on to his opponent.  Ivic pushes his forearm into Ishida's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ivic hits home with a sharp cross.  
Ivic lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Ishida recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ivic leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Ishida steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Ishida is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
Ivic gets on the inside and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ivic is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ishida tries to keep the action at long range.  Ishida sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand right.  
Ivic closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Ivic holds on to his opponent.  Ivic is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ivic.  Ivic attempts to land a right hook, but Ishida blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ishida is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Ishida sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ivic hits home with a sharp jab.  
Ivic is looking to close the distance.  Ishida quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ivic digs in a left uppercut to Ishida's body.  Ivic attempts to land a left hook, but Ishida dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ivic is on target with a right hook to Ishida's ribcage.  Ivic holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ishida pushes his forearm into Ivic's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ishida about fouling.  
Ishida pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ivic lands a cross.  Ivic attempts to land a jab, but Ishida sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Ivic gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ishida quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ivic lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ivic drives a left hook into Ishida's liver.  
Ivic closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Ishida switches the action to the outside.  Ivic is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Ivic lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  Ishida now seems to have got his legs back.  
Ishida pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ivic connects with a solid left hook.  
Ivic lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Ivic is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Ivic lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Ivic clinches his opponent.  Ivic leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Ivic's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Ivic is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to Ishida's liver.  Ivic ties up his opponent.  Ivic leans on his opponent using all his weight. Ivic uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ishida behind the head.
