Hernan Carolus vs Macario Cortez

Boxing Daily Report from the Dwinell Promotions promoted show at Mexico-Chihuahua Gym, Juarez,  taking place on 26/03/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Chihuahua Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hernan Carolus (7 - 5 - 3) who hails from Chihuahua, Mexico and Macario Cortez(7 - 2 - 2) from Chihuahua, Mexico.  Carolus weighed in at 140 pounds, while Cortez weighed in at 139 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Antonio Hermosillo, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Gil, Marco Vasallo and Malvolio Pantano.  

Round 1: 

Cortez lands a left uppercut.  
Cortez lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Cortez holds on to his opponent.  Cortez pushes his forearm into Carolus's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cortez.  
Cortez lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cortez lands two left uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.

Carolus sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Carolus throws a left uppercut, but Cortez clinches his opponent.  Cortez leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Cortez pushes his forearm into Carolus's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Cortez about fouling.  
Cortez connects with a left hook.  
Cortez manouvers Carolus into the blue corner.  Cortez lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cortez drives a right uppercut into Carolus's ribcage.  
Cortez is on target with a left hook to Carolus's body.  
Cortez cuts off the ring, trapping Carolus in a corner.  Cortez lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Cortez pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Carolus's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Carolus's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.
