Faton Sejko vs Rich Friel

Boxing Daily Report from the OSM Promotions LLC. promoted show at Philadelphia Calvo, Philadelphia,  taking place on 30/03/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Faton Sejko (11(7) - 0) who hails from Tirana, Albania and Rich Friel(2 - 4(1)) from Chicago, USA.  Sejko weighed in at 147 pounds, while Friel weighed in at 146 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Nolette, and the three ringside judges are Sam Doig, Bryn Cowens and Declan Mendivil.  

Round 1: 

Sejko is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left hook.  
Friel is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a cross, but Sejko dodges the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sejko digs in a left hook to Friel's ribs.  
Sejko lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sejko closes the distance.  Friel throws a right hook, but Sejko holds on to his opponent.  Sejko pushes his forearm into Friel's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sejko to stop fouling.  
Sejko lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Sejko ties up his opponent.  Sejko leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sejko lands a cross to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a jab to the head.  
Sejko is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Sejko clinches his opponent.  Sejko tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Friel's kidney. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sejko slams a mean left hook into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE FRIEL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sejko ties up his opponent.  Sejko leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sejko senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Friel and just needs the right shot.  Sejko is on target with a weighty left uppercut to his opponents body.  FRIEL IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Friel now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Sejko gets on the inside and digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Sejko pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sejko lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Sejko holds on to his opponent.  Sejko is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sejko is on target with a firm right uppercut to Friel's ribcage.  
Sejko advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Sejko finds the target with a jab.  
Sejko drives a solid left hook into Friel's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Friel's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Sejko drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Sejko ties up his opponent.  Sejko leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Sejko's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Friel tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Sejko closes the distance and drives a solid right hook into Friel's ribcage.  
Sejko manouvers Friel onto the ropes.  Sejko lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Sejko throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Sejko ties up his opponent.  Sejko is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sejko lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Sejko is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Friel attempts to land a jab, but Sejko sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Sejko advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Sejko clinches his opponent.  Sejko is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sejko closes the distance and slams a hurtful right hook into Friel's ribcage.  FRIEL IS HURT!  Friel almost instantly recovers. 
Sejko lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Sejko is looking to close the distance.  Sejko sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sejko throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Sejko ties up his opponent.  Sejko is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Sejko and breaks the clinch.  
Sejko lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Sejko walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Sejko lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND KNOCKS FRIEL DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Friel quickly recovers. 
Sejko quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sejko digs in a stinging left hook to Friel's ribs.  
Friel attempts to land a jab, but Sejko blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sejko advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Sejko holds on to his opponent.  Sejko leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Sejko to stop holding.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Friel's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Friel's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Sejko drives a right uppercut into Friel's body.  
Sejko lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sejko lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Some sustained pressure from Sejko could be enough to finish Friel!  Sejko lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS FRIEL TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Sejko closes the distance.  Sejko lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND FRIEL IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  It looks like Friel has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Friel throws a right hook, but Sejko clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Sejko pushes his forearm into Friel's face.  The referee warns Sejko and breaks the clinch.  
Sejko lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Friel attempts to land a jab, but Sejko blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sejko connects with a left hook.  
Sejko steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  Sejko holds on to his opponent.  Sejko is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Sejko to stop holding.  
Sejko lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Sejko walks Friel down, trapping him in a corner.  Sejko drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Sejko lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Sejko steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Sejko lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Sejko senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Sejko lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS FRIEL TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Friel can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Sejko!
