Sam Balakshin vs Gazi Reza

Boxing Daily Report from the No Limit promoted show at Sydney Taylor, Sydney,  taking place on 10/04/2031:

Clearly No Limit have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Balakshin (9(4) - 0 - 1) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Gazi Reza(1 - 4 - 1) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Balakshin and Reza weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dai Lesley, and the three ringside judges are Lewis MacConnell, Max Ogletree and Steven Webb.  

Round 1: 

Reza attempts to land a left uppercut, but Balakshin blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Reza is looking to close the distance.  Balakshin lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Balakshin lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Balakshin gets on the inside.  Balakshin sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Balakshin is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Balakshin steps inside.  Balakshin pivots to the side of his opponent.  Balakshin lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Balakshin ties up his opponent.  Balakshin pushes his forearm into Reza's face.  The ref breaks Balakshin's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Reza almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Balakshin is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Balakshin feints a jab, and then is on target with an overhand right.  
Balakshin closes the distance.  Balakshin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Balakshin lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Balakshin ties up his opponent.  Balakshin pushes his forearm into Reza's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Balakshin about fouling.  
Balakshin is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross.  
Balakshin closes the distance and is on target with a stinging left hook to Reza's body.  
Balakshin manouvers Reza into a corner.  Balakshin lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Balakshin lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Balakshin ties up his opponent.  Balakshin leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Balakshin lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Balakshin lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Balakshin connects with a left hook.  
Balakshin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Reza throws a right hook, but Balakshin ties up his opponent.  Balakshin leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Reza closes the distance.  Reza pivots to the right of his opponent.  Balakshin connects with a left uppercut.  
Balakshin tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Reza dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Reza closes the distance and throws a right hook, but Balakshin holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Reza pushes his forearm into Balakshin's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Reza to stop fouling.  
Reza steps inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Balakshin lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Balakshin lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Balakshin lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Balakshin pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Balakshin tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Balakshin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Reza throws a right hook, but Balakshin clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Balakshin pushes his forearm into Reza's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Balakshin about fouling.  
Balakshin is looking to keep his distance and connects with a cross.  
Reza is looking to close the distance.  Balakshin pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Reza's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Reza's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Reza's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Reza tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Balakshin throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Balakshin ties up his opponent.  Balakshin leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Balakshin lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Balakshin manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Balakshin lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Balakshin lands a left uppercut.  
Balakshin lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, DROPPING REZA TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Balakshin pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a mean right hook.  Reza now seems to have got his legs back.  
Balakshin pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid left hook.  
Balakshin hits home with a firm left hook.  
Balakshin is on target with a right uppercut.  
Reza steps inside.  Balakshin sidesteps to the left of his opponent and EXPLODES a mean right hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE REZA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Reza recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Balakshin steps away from his opponent and is on target with a stinging cross.  
Balakshin closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Balakshin is on target with a right hook.  
Balakshin pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Balakshin attempts to land a left hook, but Reza slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Balakshin walks Reza into the red corner.  Balakshin connects with a left uppercut.

Round 3: 

Balakshin hits home with a firm left hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Balakshin dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Balakshin.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Balakshin pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Balakshin switches the action to the outside and lands with a hard jab.  
Balakshin advances into close range.  Balakshin sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging right uppercut.  
Balakshin lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Balakshin feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Reza closes the distance.  Balakshin sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Reza now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Reza is looking to close the distance and manouvers Balakshin into the red corner.  Balakshin lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.
