Uba Latek vs Quoitrel Aseru

Boxing Daily Report from the Manyama Promotions promoted show at Gethin Byaruhanga Gym, Kampala,  taking place on 31/03/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Uganda-Kampala District Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Uba Latek (14 - 5 - 3) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Quoitrel Aseru(20 - 9) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Latek and Aseru weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neil Rugasira, and the three ringside judges are Rashid Nahas, Onaedo Odur and Kieran Nasasira.  

Round 1: 

Aseru steps inside.  Latek sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Aseru hits home with a left hook.  
Latek tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Latek lands a cross.  
Aseru gets on the inside and forces Latek to retreat into a corner.  Aseru lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Aseru throws a left hook, but is off-target.  Aseru clinches his opponent.  Aseru tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Latek behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Aseru advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Aseru ties up his opponent.  Aseru is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Aseru to stop fouling.  
Latek throws a right hook, but Aseru holds on to his opponent.  Aseru leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
