Charlie Kenefick vs Alen Mailander

Boxing Daily Report from the Simuunza Promotions promoted show at Saint Paul Ure, Saint Paul,  taking place on 02/05/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the USA-Minnesota Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Charlie Kenefick (9(4) - 0) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Alen Mailander(9 - 6 - 2) from Saint Paul, USA.  Both Kenefick and Mailander weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Spencer Currie, and the three ringside judges are Declan Forbes, Robert Dalton and Hayden Buchannon.  

Round 1: 

Kenefick is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Mailander slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kenefick gets on the inside.  Kenefick pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mailander pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kenefick lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kenefick steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mailander tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land an overhand right, but Kenefick dodges the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Kenefick advances into close range.  Kenefick pivots to the left of his opponent.  Mailander throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Kenefick lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Kenefick lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Kenefick is on target with a right hook to Mailander's ribs.  
Kenefick tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body, a jab to the head and an overhand left to the head.  
Mailander steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kenefick manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Kenefick lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Kenefick tries to keep the action at long range and hits the target with a stiff jab.

Kenefick pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mailander recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kenefick pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Kenefick lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Mailander almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Kenefick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kenefick closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Kenefick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a stinging right hook.  
Kenefick advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Kenefick drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Kenefick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mailander recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Kenefick cuts off the ring, trapping Mailander in the red corner.  Kenefick sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Kenefick is on target with a HUGE right uppercut.  MAILANDER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mailander dabs at his face checking for damage.  Mailander almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Mailander pivots to the left of his opponent.  Kenefick lands a spiteful jab.  
Mailander quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Kenefick EXPLODES a BRUTAL right hook into his opponents face.  MAILANDER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Mailander quickly recovers. 
Mailander is on target with a cross.  
Kenefick lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Mailander is looking to close the distance.  Kenefick lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Mailander throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Kenefick lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kenefick lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MAILANDER DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 9.  Mailander recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Kenefick quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a mean left hook.  MAILANDER IS DOWN!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Kenefick!
