Johnny Downie vs Mike Belches

Boxing Daily Report from the Arrow Fighting Group promoted show at Aurora Neily, Aurora,  taking place on 11/04/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mountain West Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Johnny Downie (15(1) - 16(2) - 3) who hails from Denver, USA and Mike Belches(9 - 9 - 2) from Salt Lake City, USA.  Both Downie and Belches weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Navin, and the three ringside judges are Sam Coghill, Geoff Fergus and Alen Greenlaw.  

Round 1: 

Downie steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand left.  
Belches pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Downie gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Downie is looking to close the distance.  Belches tries to land a left hook, but Downie dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Downie sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Downie tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Downie tries to land a cross, but Belches dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Downie has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Downie manouvers Belches onto the ropes.  Downie tries to land a jab, but Belches parries the shot and counters with a cross.
