Jacob Walsh vs Connor Fannon

Boxing Daily Report from the Smash Em Up Promotions promoted show at Martyn Nixon Gym, Cardiff,  taking place on 15/03/2031:

Clearly Smash Em Up Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Wales Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jacob Walsh (13(1) - 4(3)) who hails from Cardiff, UK and Connor Fannon(9 - 5(1)) from Swansea, UK.  Walsh weighed in at 147 pounds, while Fannon weighed in at 145 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Clinton Birney, and the three ringside judges are Inigo Rury, Terry Lyons and Griffith Batton.  

Round 1: 

Fannon attempts to land a cross, but Walsh sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Walsh is on target with a left hook.  Walsh holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Walsh pushes his forearm into Fannon's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.
