Yasin Aichi vs Waqas Megherbi

Boxing Daily Report from the Sh4rk promoted show at Algiers Laachi, Algiers,  taking place on 13/04/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Algeria-Alger Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yasin Aichi (6 - 12 - 2) who hails from Algiers, Algeria and Waqas Megherbi(13 - 10 - 2) from Algiers, Algeria.  Both Aichi and Megherbi weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Haaris Albalbali, and the three ringside judges are Malik Mekhloufi, Umair Ghermati and Amer Marouane.  

Round 1: 

Aichi is looking to close the distance.  Megherbi pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Aichi manouvers Megherbi onto the ropes.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Aichi dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Aichi advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Aichi attempts to land a right hook, but Megherbi parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Aichi throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Megherbi's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Megherbi leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Aichi steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Aichi's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Aichi's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Megherbi's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
