Rehan Nasiri vs Tariq Marzouk

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Cairo promoted show at Cairo Nassoor, Cairo,  taking place on 17/04/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Egypt Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rehan Nasiri (24 - 9(2) - 1) who hails from Cairo, Egypt and Tariq Marzouk(12(10) - 2 - 1) from Shubra El-Kheima, Egypt.  Nasiri weighed in at 160 pounds, while Marzouk weighed in at 159 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Danyaal Parsa, and the three ringside judges are Saad Petros, Waleed Ashraf and Hassan Emam.  

Round 1: 

Marzouk lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Marzouk ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Marzouk pushes his forearm into Nasiri's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Marzouk.  Nasiri almost instantly gets his legs back.

Marzouk advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Marzouk ties up his opponent.  Marzouk is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Marzouk's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Marzouk walks Nasiri down, trapping him in a corner.  Marzouk quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.

Nasiri throws a left uppercut, but Marzouk holds on to his opponent.  Marzouk is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Marzouk is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Marzouk lands a left hook.  Marzouk throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Marzouk gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Nasiri quickly recovers. 
Marzouk walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Marzouk lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Marzouk digs in a solid right hook to Nasiri's body.  
Marzouk hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Marzouk SLAMS a BRUTAL left hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE NASIRI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Nasiri quickly recovers. 
Nasiri attempts to land a right uppercut, but Marzouk sidesteps and counters with a WICKED right hook.  NASIRI IS HURT!  Nasiri quickly recovers. 
Marzouk gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Marzouk steps inside and hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Marzouk manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Marzouk lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Marzouk is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nasiri steps away from his opponent.  Nasiri sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Nasiri throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Nasiri is on target with a cross.  
Marzouk is looking to close the distance.  Marzouk quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and SLAMS a spiteful right hook into his opponents face.  NASIRI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Nasiri recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Marzouk is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Marzouk lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND NASIRI IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 9.  It looks like Nasiri has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Marzouk lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.

Marzouk closes the distance.  Marzouk quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Marzouk hits home with a left hook.  Marzouk clinches his opponent.  Marzouk is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Marzouk to stop fouling.  
Marzouk lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS NASIRI!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Marzouk!
