Thadeus Petros vs Iason Hero

Boxing Daily Report from the Athens Boxing Club promoted show at Athens Barlas, Athens,  taking place on 19/04/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Greece Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ERT1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Thadeus Petros (11 - 15 - 1) who hails from Athens, Greece and Iason Hero(16(5) - 2(1) - 2) from Athens, Greece.  Petros weighed in at 130 pounds, while Hero weighed in at 129 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aeneas Manella, and the three ringside judges are Protesilaus Christodoulou, Cecrops Peris and Phaon Metro.  

Round 1: 

Hero is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Hero ties up his opponent.  Hero pushes his forearm into Petros's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hero gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Hero gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Hero tries to land a left hook, but Petros parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Petros attempts to land a cross, but Hero dodges the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Petros lands an overhand left.  
Petros goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Hero's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Hero lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Hero pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Hero lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Petros throws a left uppercut, but Hero ties up his opponent.  Hero is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Hero's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Hero advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

Hero gets on the inside and manouvers Petros into a neutral corner.  Hero is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hero pivots to the right of his opponent.  Petros throws a left uppercut, but Hero clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Hero pushes his forearm into Petros's face.  The referee warns Hero and breaks the clinch.

Hero gets on the inside.  Hero pivots to the right of his opponent.  Petros throws a left hook, but Hero holds on to his opponent.  Hero leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Petros's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Petros's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Petros's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Petros lands a jab.  Petros throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Petros.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Hero lands a left uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Petros tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.

Hero gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Hero clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Hero pushes his forearm into Petros's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Hero about fouling.  
Hero drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Hero lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Some sustained pressure from Hero could be enough to finish Petros!  Hero lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body, DROPPING PETROS TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  
Hero drives a telling right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  PETROS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE ISNT GOING TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Hero!
