Euan Curtis vs Brett Laurent

Boxing Daily Report from the OSM Promotions LLC. promoted show at Philadelphia Beaumier, Philadelphia,  taking place on 02/05/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid Atlantic Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Euan Curtis (13 - 10 - 3) who hails from Baltimore, USA and Brett Laurent(14 - 3 - 1) from Pittsburgh, USA.  Both Curtis and Laurent weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Paille, and the three ringside judges are John Brydon, Mark Alderdice and Cody Flett.  

Round 1: 

Laurent walks Curtis down, trapping him in a corner.  Laurent digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Curtis connects with a right hook.  
Curtis is looking to keep his distance.  Laurent hits home with an overhand left.  
Laurent is looking to close the distance.  Curtis sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Laurent lands a right uppercut.  
Laurent advances into close range and forces Curtis to retreat into a neutral corner.  Laurent attempts to land a left hook, but Curtis parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Laurent hits home with a right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Curtis.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
