Dan Rury vs Jack McBride

Boxing Daily Report from the Mudenda Promotions promoted show at Virginia Beach Zaidi, Virginia Beach,  taking place on 02/05/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Virginia Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dan Rury (23(1) - 3) who hails from Virginia Beach, USA and Jack McBride(10 - 9(2) - 1) from Norfolk, USA.  Both Rury and McBride weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Adam Walls, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Higgins, Jamie McClennen and Hugh Wallach.  

Round 1: 

Rury sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
McBride tries to land a jab, but Rury sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rury pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a cross, right hook and a jab to his opponents head.  
Rury walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Rury lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Rury lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Rury advances into close range.  McBride throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
McBride retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Rury is whaling away with hooks, but McBride keeps his defence tight.  
Rury pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Rury connects with a cross.  
Rury quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Rury lands a left uppercut, cross and a right uppercut to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Rury has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of.  
Rury sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
Rury drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  Rury wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McBride dabs at his face checking for damage.
