Dan Davie vs Poto Irihapete

Boxing Daily Report from the Simasiku Promotions promoted show at Auckland Prowell, Auckland,  taking place on 23/04/2031:

Clearly Simasiku Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Dan Davie (1 - 0) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Poto Irihapete(1 - 2) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Davie and Irihapete weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Kinzey, and the three ringside judges are Dale Mostyn, Ellis Raharuhi and Lloyd Rease.  

Round 1: 

Irihapete switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid left hook to Irihapete's ribs.  
Davie is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent into the corner.  Davie pivots to the left of his opponent.  Davie attempts to land a right hook, but Irihapete blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Davie connects with a right hook.  
Irihapete tries to step out of his opponents range.  Davie connects with a cross.  
Davie lands a solid right uppercut.  
Davie drives a sharp right hook into Irihapete's body.  
Irihapete sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Davie lands with a stinging jab.  
Davie closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Irihapete sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Davie is on target with an overhand right.  
Irihapete quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Davie connects with a left hook.

Irihapete feints a right, and then finds the target with a jab.  
Davie advances into close range.  Irihapete lands a right hook.  
Davie lands a jab.  
Davie gets on the inside.  Irihapete is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Davie closes the distance.  Davie digs in a right hook to Irihapete's ribs.  As Davie tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Irihapete dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Davie lands a cross.  Davie attempts to land a left hook, but Irihapete sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Irihapete quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Davie lands a stinging jab.
