Nikolai Zilite vs Mardian Ongfiang

Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia Boxing promoted show at Arena Riga, Riga,  taking place on 05/07/2031:

Clearly Latvia Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nikolai Zilite (16(8) - 2) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Mardian Ongfiang(14 - 13(1) - 4) from Yaoundé, Cameroon.  Both Zilite and Ongfiang weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sergei Cesnieks, and the three ringside judges are Valeri Akitis, Arseni Sausaismarcis and Mikhail Klavinsh.  

Round 1: 

Zilite steps to the outside.  Zilite feints a right hook, but Ongfiang ignores the feint and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Ongfiang cuts off the ring, trapping Zilite on the ropes.  Zilite lands with a solid jab.  
Zilite tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Ongfiang is looking to close the distance.  Zilite digs in a right uppercut to Ongfiang's ribcage.  
Ongfiang manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Zilite is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Zilite lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Zilite steps away from his opponent.  Zilite feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the body followed by two overhand right's to the head.  
Zilite feints a right, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Zilite drives a cross into Ongfiang's body.

Zilite switches the action to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Zilite lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Ongfiang throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Zilite hits home with an overhand left.  
Ongfiang advances into close range.  Zilite pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Zilite steps to the outside and connects with an overhand left.  
Ongfiang gets on the inside.  Zilite lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Zilite feints a left, and then lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Zilite lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Zilite lands with a ramrod jab.  
Zilite lands a cross to the head, a jab to the head and a jab to the body.  
Zilite lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ongfiang's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Ongfiang's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Ongfiang's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Ongfiang pushes his forearm into Zilite's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ongfiang about fouling.

Zilite hits home with a forceful left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE ONGFIANG WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Zilite throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Zilite knows Ongfiang is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Zilite lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, KNOCKING ONGFIANG DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Zilite!
