Leon Bateman vs Daniel Hickey

Boxing Daily Report from the Payakaroon Boxing Entertainment promoted show at Luna Park Big Top, Sydney,  taking place on 23/05/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Australia Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Setanta Sports Australia, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are The Victorian Mauler Leon Bateman (9(4) - 3) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Daniel Hickey(7 - 2) from Perth, Australia.  Both Bateman and Hickey weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hugh MacMaster, and the three ringside judges are Owen Frame, Gareth Boswell and David Bellamy.
