Mihovil Markic vs Branimir Mikulec

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Croatia-Primorje-Gorski promoted show at Tin Rajic Gym, Rijeka,  taking place on 15/04/2031:

Clearly AI Croatia-Primorje-Gorski have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Croatia-Primorje-Gorski Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mihovil Markic (21(9) - 6 - 1) who hails from Rijeka, Croatia and Branimir Mikulec(6 - 1 - 1) from Rijeka, Croatia.  Both Markic and Mikulec weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Borko Peric, and the three ringside judges are Neven Bišcan, Stipe Mikacic and Filip Medancic.  

Round 1: 

Markic gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.

Mikulec closes the distance.  Markic lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Markic holds on to his opponent.  Markic pushes his forearm into Mikulec's face.  The ref breaks Markic's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mikulec advances into close range.  Markic lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Markic connects with a stinging cross.  
Markic tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Mikulec closes the distance.  Markic hits home with a stinging right hook.  Markic ties up his opponent.  Markic pushes his forearm into Mikulec's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Markic closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Markic tries to land a right hook, but Mikulec parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Markic tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Mikulec tries to land a left hook, but Markic slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Markic drives a cross into his opponents body.

Markic steps inside and drives a right hook into Mikulec's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mikulec's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Mikulec's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Mikulec feints a left, and then is on target with a right hook to Markic's body.

Mikulec could be stopped here, if Markic can find the right shot!  Markic lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND MIKULEC IS DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Mikulec is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Markic!
