Porfio Villaflor vs Elias Barcena

Boxing Daily Report from the Bolivar Fighting promoted show at Cartagena Tristan, Cartagena,  taking place on 31/05/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Colombia Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Porfio Villaflor (17(9) - 0) who hails from Medellin, Colombia and Elias Barcena(10 - 16(1) - 4) from Cali, Colombia.  Villaflor weighed in at 117 pounds and 9 ounces, while Barcena weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Miguel Luz, and the three ringside judges are Xavion Amezquita, Rodrigo Cabezas and Quico Mano.  

Round 1: 

Barcena gets on the inside.  Villaflor digs in a solid left uppercut to Barcena's body.  Villaflor ties up his opponent.  Villaflor pushes his forearm into Barcena's face.  The ref breaks Villaflor's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Barcena throws a right hook, but Villaflor clinches his opponent.  Villaflor pushes his forearm into Barcena's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Villaflor lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Villaflor ties up his opponent.  Villaflor uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Barcena behind the head.

Barcena almost instantly recovers. 
Villaflor advances into close range and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, AND BARCENA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Barcena quickly recovers. 
Villaflor hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
Villaflor drives a solid right hook into Barcena's ribcage.  
Barcena gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but Villaflor holds on to his opponent.  Villaflor leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Villaflor quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Barcena's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Barcena's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Villaflor manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Villaflor sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Villaflor crashes a mean left uppercut to his opponents body.  DOWN GOES BARCENA!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Barcena has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Villaflor whips in a nasty right hook to Barcena's body.  BARCENA IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Villaflor holds on to his opponent.  Villaflor pushes his forearm into Barcena's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Villaflor hits home with a right uppercut.  
Villaflor lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Villaflor lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Villaflor digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Villaflor closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Barcena recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Villaflor drives a left uppercut into Barcena's ribs.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Barcena.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Villaflor steps inside and drives a right hook into Barcena's body.  
Barcena throws a right hook, but Villaflor holds on to his opponent.  Villaflor uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Barcena behind the head. The referee warns Villaflor and breaks the clinch.  
Villaflor lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Villaflor lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Villaflor lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Villaflor throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Villaflor feints a right hook, and then connects with a sharp cross.  
Villaflor advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, AND BARCENA IS KNOCKED DOWN!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Villaflor!
