Sam Aitkens vs Inigo Carns

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Iowa promoted show at Des Moines Civic Center Stoner Theater, Des Moines,  taking place on 18/05/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Iowa Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Aitkens (16 - 7(1) - 6) who hails from Des Moines, USA and Inigo Carns(6 - 0) from Cedar Rapids, USA.  Both Aitkens and Carns weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Dickins, and the three ringside judges are Michael Hutchison, Stephen Kidd and Vince Caven.  

Round 1: 

Carns pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.

Aitkens steps inside.  Aitkens wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Carns has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
