Brian McCalla vs Michael Desmond

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Utah promoted show at Provo McReynolds, Provo,  taking place on 19/05/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Utah Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brian McCalla (12(2) - 3) who hails from Salt Lake City, USA and Michael Desmond(8 - 8(1) - 3) from West Valley City, USA.  Both McCalla and Desmond weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Edward Cary, and the three ringside judges are Justin Lloyd, Neil Probert and Michael Faul.  

Round 1: 

McCalla strikes his opponents body with a sharp cross.  
McCalla connects with a cross.  
Desmond lands a jab.  
McCalla advances into close range and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
McCalla is on target with a right hook to Desmond's ribs.  
McCalla is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
McCalla steps inside and digs in a right hook to Desmond's body.  McCalla clinches his opponent.  McCalla pushes his forearm into Desmond's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns McCalla.  
Desmond steps away from his opponent.  McCalla tries to land a cross, but Desmond slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to McCalla's body.  
McCalla digs in a solid right hook to Desmond's ribcage.  
McCalla forces Desmond to retreat into a neutral corner.  McCalla is on target with a left hook.

McCalla is on target with a cross.  McCalla attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Desmond's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
McCalla is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
McCalla lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
McCalla lands a mean cross.  DESMOND IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  
Desmond tries to land a cross, but McCalla sidesteps and counters with a cross.

McCalla is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here. He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is McCalla!
