Ryo Uchida vs Yuichi Yoshimura

Boxing Daily Report from the Fighting spirit promoted show at Fumio Sadow Gym, Osaka,  taking place on 23/05/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Osaka Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ryo Uchida (5 - 6 - 1) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Yuichi Yoshimura(2 - 8 - 3) from Osaka, Japan.  Both Uchida and Yoshimura weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hiro Kamei, and the three ringside judges are Shinji Iseri, Hiroki Watanabe and Naoki Koyama.  

Round 1: 

Uchida is on target with a firm overhand left.  
Yoshimura advances into close range.  Uchida sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a firm left hook.  
Uchida feints a right hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Uchida hits home with a right hook.  
Uchida pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Uchida lands an overhand right.  
Yoshimura advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Yoshimura hits home with a left uppercut.  
Yoshimura steps inside.  Uchida connects with a left uppercut.  
Uchida lands a solid overhand right.  
Yoshimura closes the distance.  Uchida sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Yoshimura's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Yoshimura's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Yoshimura throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Uchida connects with a right uppercut.
