Jack Nixon vs Lewis Simpson

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Petra Field, Amman,  taking place on 17/05/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jack Nixon (4(1) - 0) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Lewis Simpson(12 - 18 - 5) from Edmonton, Canada.  Both Nixon and Simpson weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amjad Allee, and the three ringside judges are Waqas Hossein, Rehman Alsamarrai and Jawad Gaha.  

Round 1:

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Nixon.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Nixon switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Simpson is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Nixon on the ropes.  Simpson throws a right hook, but Nixon ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Simpson pushes his forearm into Nixon's face.  The ref breaks Nixon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
