Kyle Abat vs Gig Magat

Boxing Daily Report from the Molekane Promotions promoted show at Pablo Beltran Gym, Rodriguez,  taking place on 29/05/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Rizal Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kyle Abat (7 - 3 - 2) who hails from Antipolo, Philippines and Gig Magat(7 - 10 - 6) from Taytay, Philippines.  Both Abat and Magat weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Berto Dumagan, and the three ringside judges are Jesus Katipunan, Rogelio Banda and Paul Riano.  

Round 1: 

Abat lands a cross.  
Abat steps away from his opponent.  Magat is on target with a jab.  
Abat is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Magat forces Abat to retreat onto the ropes.  Abat hits home with a left hook.  Abat attempts to land a left hook, but Magat dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Abat is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Abat feints a jab, and then lands a cross.  
Magat gets on the inside and forces Abat to retreat into the corner.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Magat.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
