Quin Carrasco vs Angel Zegarra

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Houston Athletic Fencing Center, Houston,  taking place on 31/05/2031:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Quin Carrasco (18(10) - 2 - 1) who hails from Chihuahua, Mexico and Angel Zegarra(6 - 2) from Ciudad Victoria, Mexico.  Carrasco weighed in at 129 pounds and 11 ounces, while Zegarra weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ellis Girvan, and the three ringside judges are Darryl Corral, Noah Fergusson and Mark Marrufo.  

Round 1: 

Carrasco lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Carrasco clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Carrasco pushes his forearm into Zegarra's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carrasco lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Carrasco has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
