Leighton Platt vs Felippe Ortiz

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Maison de la culture, Gaineau,  taking place on 22/06/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton Platt (28(13) - 1(1)) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Felippe Ortiz(26 - 13(3) - 3) from Mixco, Guatemala.  Both Platt and Ortiz weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ferrand Pradon, and the three ringside judges are Louis Gillespie, James Dunlap and Phil Pearce.  

Round 1: 

Ortiz sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Ortiz is looking to keep his distance.  Platt hits home with a cross.  
Platt lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Ortiz lands a ramrod jab.  Ortiz tries to land a jab, but Platt slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Platt steps inside.  Ortiz hits home with a solid left hook.  
Ortiz steps to the outside.  Platt lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Platt gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Platt manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Platt lands a left uppercut.  
Platt pivots from in front of his opponent.  Platt throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Platt ties up his opponent.  Platt pushes his forearm into Ortiz's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Platt about fouling.
