Koen de Bakker vs Lyle Segalen

Boxing Daily Report from the Bebox promoted show at Charleroi Cendrars, Charleroi,  taking place on 15/06/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Belgium Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sport10, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Koen de Bakker (11 - 6(1) - 3) who hails from Antwerp, Belgium and Lyle Segalen(18(2) - 6(4) - 2 - 1(NC)) from Liege, Belgium.  Both de Bakker and Segalen weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jeremie Roussel, and the three ringside judges are Launcelot Eury, Launcelot Eury and Chancellor Ortega.  

Round 1: 

de Bakker lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Segalen lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Segalen gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to de Bakker's body.  
Segalen pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a stinging right uppercut to de Bakker's body.  
de Bakker switches the action to the outside.  Segalen drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  de Bakker lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Segalen steps inside and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Segalen hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Segalen lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Segalen lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
de Bakker is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
de Bakker connects with a cross.  
Segalen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
de Bakker is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

de Bakker steps away from his opponent and hits home with an overhand right.  
Segalen is looking to close the distance and connects with a right hook.  
Segalen advances into close range.  de Bakker throws a left hook, but Segalen holds on to his opponent.  de Bakker leans on his opponent using all his weight. Segalen is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Segalen's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
de Bakker lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Segalen walks de Bakker down, trapping him on the ropes.  Segalen pivots to the left of his opponent.  de Bakker attempts to land a cross, but Segalen slips the shot and counters with a forceful right uppercut.  DE BAKKER IS HURT!  
Segalen advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  de Bakker now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

de Bakker throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
de Bakker lands an overhand right.  
Segalen lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Segalen lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Segalen connects with a right uppercut.  
Segalen waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  de Bakker tries to land a cross, but Segalen dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
de Bakker hits home with an overhand right.  
Segalen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into de Bakker's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  de Bakker has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

The foul has worsened the damage  around the left eye.
