Malcolm Carnegie vs Aidan Molloy

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Munster promoted show at Waterford Tighe, Waterford,  taking place on 15/06/2031:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Celtic Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Malcolm Carnegie (9(4) - 0) who hails from Edinburgh, UK and Aidan Molloy(6 - 3 - 4) from Limerick, Ireland.  Carnegie weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces, while Molloy weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Floyd Hobbs, and the three ringside judges are Jason Gorman, Joshua Fylan and Ross Gauld.  

Round 1: 

Carnegie hits home with a firm right hook.  
Carnegie lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Carnegie forces Molloy to back into a neutral corner.  Carnegie lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Carnegie ties up his opponent.  Carnegie pushes his forearm into Molloy's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Carnegie about fouling.  
Carnegie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Carnegie clinches his opponent.  Carnegie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Carnegie steps inside and digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Carnegie lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  Carnegie holds on to his opponent.  Carnegie tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Molloy behind the head. The referee warns Carnegie and breaks the clinch.

Carnegie digs in a right uppercut to Molloy's body.  
Molloy pivots to the side of his opponent.  Carnegie lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Molloy tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land an overhand right, but Carnegie dodges the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Carnegie advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Carnegie holds on to his opponent.  Carnegie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carnegie is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Molloy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Molloy throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Carnegie feints a jab, tricking Molloy into launching a left hook counter.  Carnegie is waiting for the shot and counters with a cross.  
Carnegie gets on the inside and forces Molloy to retreat onto the ropes.  Carnegie lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Carnegie clinches his opponent.  Carnegie leans on his opponent using all his weight. Carnegie uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Molloy behind the head. 
Carnegie is on target with a jab.  
Molloy is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.  
Carnegie steps inside and digs in a stinging left hook to Molloy's body.  
Carnegie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Carnegie clinches his opponent.  Carnegie pushes his forearm into Molloy's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Carnegie to stop fouling.  Molloy almost instantly recovers.

Molloy's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Molloy's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Molloy's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
