EOD Running: Pre Show
Johnny Keddy vs George Poveda

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Showtime Gym, Miami,  taking place on 01/06/2031:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Johnny Keddy (2 - 0) who hails from Portland, USA and George Poveda(1 - 0) from Los Angeles, USA.  Both Keddy and Poveda weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Llanas, and the three ringside judges are Max Merrick, John Owens and Ian Mortland.  

Round 1: 

Keddy gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Keddy steps inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Keddy steps inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Poveda blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Keddy advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Keddy gets on the inside and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Keddy lands a cross.  
Poveda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Keddy lands a jab.  
Keddy steps inside and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Poveda lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Keddy lands a jab.  
Keddy gets on the inside.  Keddy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Keddy's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Poveda's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Keddy is on target with a left hook to Poveda's body.  
Keddy closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Keddy drives a left hook into Poveda's body.  Keddy clinches his opponent.  Keddy pushes his forearm into Poveda's face.  The ref breaks Keddy's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Keddy drives a sharp right hook into Poveda's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Poveda dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Keddy hits home with a left hook.  Keddy clinches his opponent.  Keddy pushes his forearm into Poveda's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Keddy.  
Keddy is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Poveda's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Keddy leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Keddy lands a right hook.  
Keddy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Keddy walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Keddy lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Keddy hits home with a cross.  
Keddy gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Keddy ties up his opponent.  Keddy hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Keddy is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Poveda pivots to the right of his opponent.  Poveda attempts to land a left hook, but Keddy sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Keddy hits home with a cross.  
Poveda forces Keddy to retreat onto the ropes.  Poveda pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Keddy cuts off the ring, trapping Poveda on the ropes.  Keddy is on target with a left uppercut.  
Keddy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Keddy tries to land a cross, but Poveda sidesteps and counters with a cross.
