Rance Barthez vs Algernon Maupassant

Boxing Daily Report from the AI France-Ile-de-France promoted show at Alhambra, Paris,  taking place on 17/06/2031:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the France-Ile-de-France Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rance Barthez (17 - 11 - 6) who hails from Montreuil, France and Algernon Maupassant(10(2) - 5(2)) from Paris, France.  Barthez weighed in at 168 pounds And 8 ounces, while Maupassant weighed in at 168 pounds.    As Barthez came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.
